It’s not all bad, but it’s not all good.
The King Suite was a delightful experience! spacious and beautifully furnished, while dinner offered an excellent variety of real ales and top-notch meals.
Sadly, I experienced slow service during peak hours, which really took away from the overall ambience and enjoyment.

one would expect top-notch service here, but alas, I experienced slow service and missing robes and slippers. for such a so-called upscale establishment, you'd think they woudl ve been more accommodating. I almost considered a good review, but I just couldn’t get over the disappointments, frankly. the atmosphere was decent, but that doesn’t fix everything.

It was just a fitting option for a brief sojourn in Withypool with best value. The dog-friendly room made our stay enjoyable, allowing us to relax comfortably. Consider trying the burgers instead of steaks for better value.

would like to go back there again
The room was fantastic with a super comfy bed, flat-screen TV, and a mini fridge. Loved the spacious private bathroom with amazing toiletries. Breakfast was to die for and served with a smile. The cozy pub atmosphere with log fires made it even better. Plus, the dog was treated like royalty!

The cozy pub atmosphere with rustic decor certainly adds a warm touch, making it inviting for a casual retreat. Plus, the dog-friendly accommodations were a bonus, allowing for some quality time with furry companions in a comfortable setting.
The food quality was hit or miss—some dishes came out overcooked or poorly presented, which is a letdown considering the extensive menu. The slow service during busy hours led to long waits, and the shower system, a Triton over the bath, didn't exactly provide an invigorating experience. While the location is picturesque, the overall experience felt like it needed a bit more attention to detail and investment.
